Before producing his own documentary, Dr. Gunness had absolutely no experience about filmmaking. However, having worked in public health and healthcare for many years, he has developed a keen eye for capturing the nuances in communtiies that are often not seen in social media; nuances that impede patients' access to healthcare, which results in devastatingly poor health outcomes. 

After what he witnessed during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Gunness felt compelled to bring these disparities to light as a means to educate audiences and bring more resoruces to communities that fall through the crack in the system. 

Nowadays, he feels confident to say that with his vast network in healthare, he can easlity bring the experts together to unearth any public health issue of interest in an effort to  improve health outcomes.
